And this is a recently replaced SKY dish (by SKY) on the island. Surprise surprise - the owner (after paying a SKY callout charge) ended up calling me to put this right. (because sky wouldnt go back out) - new dish also needed realigned - all within 48 hours of the SKY repair. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should any SO CALLED engineer ever connect a new (or repaired dish) to a cable that is suffering from such oxidisation/water damage. AND if cables are being buried they should be placed within conduit (watertight if at all possible). ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE WORKS being discovered since these storms.
