And this is says it all..No matter who likes it or not....I chose Nursing scrubs to put on every day, in doing that, I expose myself to not only the rewarding moments as a NURSE, but in choosing this career, I expose my self to life changing/life threatening diseases...but I chose it to help make a difference in some ones life, to hold the hand of a dying patient who has no one, to rejoice in happiness as I help bring a new baby into this world, but also knowing that it only takes one needle stick if Im not careful or exposure to bodily fluids that could infect me....these men/women in blue chose their profession to protect and serve us, the people...they chose to put on their uniform to go out and uphold the laws of our state/country...they are the ones who we call out to when we are scared that someone is outside our house trying to break in, they are the shield for us, they never know what lies ahead when they respond to these calls...they are the ones we call to help us find missing loved ones, many times they are the first on the scene of a tragic accident where their face is the last face that accident victim sees before they take their last breath....there are good and bad in all walks/professions in life...respect has to be taught/learned and used to get anywhere in this life....
