And this is the follow up to my story....it should have ended where my last post ended; but it did not....we were watching the finals and Wayne received a text. He didnt want me to read it ( i dont get put off.. so I read it) wow....a professional trainer whom i had previously decided to name on facebook but have now decided not to; as i have girls to set an example for......( this was a hard one)....sent a vague and threatening text.. suggesting that he had overheard that people were going to challenge Charlenes win????? He felt that her chin strap was illegal???or he knew people that did....WTF? Yet at no time did he ever come over and ask to see the chin strap in question....( of course) This wasnt an issue until she won the box class! Then the flurry of texts from cow horse people ensued( supportive)...apparently the complainer; was putting forth a formal complaint! It of course didnt bother them that she rode the box class in a reining saddle as she cant afford a cow horse saddle( yet) and it didnt bother them that she wore a shirt that was on the sale rack( looked awesome) As it unfolded there apparently was a petition etc... which many declined to sign! ( Thank you)...Many of the REAL professional cow horse people came to see Charlene and congratulate her! The result of this upset; was a youth back in a hotel vomiting and taking gravol as her nerves were blown.... The upsetting part to all of this.. is that the ASS that started all of this has been one of Charlenes heroes! NOT NOW! She had to learn the ugly reality of money, sport and lack of sportsmanship! As I have raised both of the girls to be classy and show good sportsmanship; she held her head up and said nothing!!! On our way home she received a private message from the ASS congratulating her on her win. REALLY????Just keep poking the kid???? My hair stood up!!! In her usual calm manner she informed him that she doubted that it was sincere....( YA THINK?) I have some wise advice here... I have been compared to a pitbull where my girls are concerned....She has been taught to handle things with grace....I on the other hand DO NOT subscribe to this at all! You shit on my kid!!! Shame on you! I am turning 50 this year and the one thing that i know for sure is that What goes around; comes around I just hope that i live long enough to see this happen!
