And to think......I ALMOST went to work for Channel 10. Seriously. It was all but a done deal two years ago right about now. I had met with the News Director over lunch...had been welcomed on board. Was told to get in touch with Krystle Henderson, (remember her?), and to start training on the computer system. I was also going to report on things like fires. And then their sale to Sinclair Broadcasting went through and Sinclair did not want them to hire anybody new......especially a part time weekend weather guy and field reporter on things like forest fires, fishing, hunting and such. I waited for a phone call I was told was coming and that never did. And so now we get what has happened tonight where KTVL reported on line that the Oregon Gulch Fire was 10,000 acres and had burned hundreds of homes. All I can say is thank you KTVL. Thank you for not hiring me and thank you for the gift you just gave me. I have KOBI in my sights.....you are next! The people of this area deserve a source of information they can trust to give them accurate and reliable information. That clearly will not be you....but it for sure will be Rogueweather. You have my pledge on that.
