And today, on the very same day you name your military god, you - TopicsExpress

And today, on the very same day you name your military god, you come to Tahrir to celebrate, guarded by vicious security forces, guaranteed your safety, knowing no one will attack you; because usually, you are the ones who attack. Unlike us, you entered the square without a fight; while the moment we managed to break through its barriers, earning our place in it by our bravery, the very same square, we did so carrying the blood, the corpses, the ambitions and the dreams of so many friends of ours whom you have not hesitated a second to kill. Such a huge difference between your victory and ours, your celebratory square and our Midan, battlefield; our dreams and your interests. You may have won one battle, but the war has not ended yet. Enjoy your day, before the general makes you regret the rest of the coming ones. And while you are dancing, do so quietly...there are lotsa blood, dreams, and memories getting crushed underneath your feet. Today, tahrir might look like it is celebrating, but the truth is your dancing is some sort of a mourning ritual...mourning Our Revolution. Continue. You will be disillusioned again. Very soon. Sooner than you think.
