And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren and they hated him yet the more.(Genesis 37 vs 4-5). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. Our Focal Scripture reveals that Josephs brothers hated him for his coat of many colours. The coat of many colours was Josephs gift from his father, and his brothers hated him for it. It was a symbol of favour upon his life, and it attracted some hatred to him. It was not hatred that came because Joseph did something wrong; it was hatred that came because Joseph was favoured. You would notice that when they hated him,God gave him a dream that made them hate him even more. They hated him and God even created more situations to favour him. Their hatred became a platform for increase. Their hatred precipitated divine favour for his future. Friend, are there people who hate you because of the little things that have come your way? God says, their hatred will attract more favour to you. Their hatred will make God favour you more and more. Their hate will attract more miracles to you. If they hated you because something good happened to you, just get ready; something great will soon happen to you. Instead of feeling bad that someone hates you, rejoice because God loves you with an everlasting love. Remember, if the hatred of Josephs brothers didnt scuttle his destiny, then those who hate you cant do a thing to stop you.
