“And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, no doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live”. (Acts 28 vs 4). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. When the barbarians saw the venomous viper on the hands of Paul, they concluded that Paul must have been a murderer. They imagined that Paul was about to suffer for wrong doing . They considered the shipwreck and the viper, and they concluded that Paul was evil. They drew negative conclusions based on what was happening to Paul. They contrived negative explanations for what happened to Paul. They gossiped on account of what was happening to Paul. Notice carefully, that their negative conclusions came to nothing; their negative verdict concerning Paul didn’t stand the test of time; their wrong calculations concerning Paul didn’t see the light of the day. Their gossip concerning Paul was invalidated in a matter of time. They thought that Paul was about to go down, but they were wrong. They thought that Paul was finished, but they were wrong. Friend, God says, every negative conclusion that people may have drawn concerning you will come to nothing; every harsh judgement that people have thrown at you will be nullified. Every negative prediction that has been made about your health, marriage, family, business, career etc will collapse in the name of Jesus! Don’t fret because of people’s negative predictions. THEY WILL HAVE THEIR SAY; BUT GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY! Pray with me, “Lord, no negative prediction against my life shall stand in Jesus name”.
