And you shall be HATED of ALL men for My name’s sake: but he that ENDURES to the END shall be SAVED (Matthew 10:22)… Now there’s a TREND in the Church to use the WORLDLY TERM “HATERS” when describing each other where there is DISAGREEMENT or DIVISION present between and amongst us. Nobody in Christ has any business HATING on anyone – especially since our minds are to always be FOCUSED on the LOVE of God that’s shed abroad in our HEARTS by Jesus and the Holy Spirit. When Jesus speaks of us being HATED, He means by those who OPPOSE us because of the Gospel and His name’s sake – not because of some PETTY, CARNAL difference we might have with someone. There’s NOTHING to ENDURE in that, and especially NOTHING of spiritual significance or value. The HATRED the Christian will ENCOUNTER will be the HATRED shown us by the SINNER, the LOST, the UNGODLY of the WORLD when we present to them the Gospel message that can SAVE their immortal SOUL! There are no HATERS inside the walls of the church – only CONFUSED, DISCOURAGED, and FRUSTRATED Christians who aren’t exercising their GIFTS and CALLINGS to the Glory of God. Because if they were, there would be NO TIME spent on believing you’re HATED for anything other than for Jesus’ sake. Everybody who OPPOSES the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a HATER; but NOT a HATER of us – but of Jesus. For only what’s DONE for Christ really MATTERS, and will LAST!!!
