Andre Schurrle speaks about how his Chelsea dream has come true October 28, 2013 Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle has revealed that he had always dreamt of moving to the west London side – a dream which came true this summer. The German was quoted telling Sky Sports, “I had this dream for a long time and it was a dream to play for Chelsea and not for another club.” Schurrle also spoke of idolising Michael Ballack and watching a number of big stars play for the Blues, which made his dream even more ‘Chelsea specific’. The 22 year old admitted that while moving to Stamford Bridge has made it even more important for him to perform consistently well, he is not feeling any pressure despite being new manager Jose Mourinho’s first signing of his second spell at the club. Schurrle also acknowledged that playing under Mourinho has made him a better player, with the Portuguese capable of eliciting the best out of him. The German was an £18m investment for the Blues this summer. While Schurrle has been prolific in front of goal for his national team, he is yet to showcase that promise for Chelsea despite making 12 appearances this season. -dean-
