Andre and Jordan Ayew The President of Ghana John D. Mahama met - TopicsExpress

Andre and Jordan Ayew The President of Ghana John D. Mahama met Andre and Jordan Ayew this afternoon (11th June 2013) the seat of the Presidency The Flagstaff House and in attendance was the minister of youth and sports Elvis Afriyie- Ankrah and GFA vice president Fred Crentsil to appeal to them to rescind their decisions from playing for the Black Stars after going on premature retirements somewhere last year. Prior to this meeting news have been going round within the sporting circles that players like Kevin Prince Boateng, Michael Essien and the Ayew brothers have all been contacted by some top government officials to return to the Black Stars including the President meeting with the Ayew brothers in France during his state visit to that country couple of weeks ago according to Minister of Youth and Sports Elvis Afriyie- Ankrah. Yesterday the news came out that AC Milan player Kevin Prince Boateng has rescind his decision not to play for the Black Stars and have made himself available for selections into the Black Stars prior to the matches with Sudan and Lesotho for the world cup qualifiers for Brazil 2014 but due to injury KP Boateng was not call by Coach Akwasi Appiah. According to Mr Yaw Boakye Djan a member of the Black Stars management team in an interview with Peace FM in Accra was quoted as saying Kevin Prince Boateng is prepared to come back to the national team after fruitful discussion with him couple of weeks ago. Source close to me also indicated that Kevin Prince Boateng in a call to the GFA Boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has put across some conditions before coming back to the Black Stars including changing the coaching staff with the exception of Coach Akwasi Appiah, bringing in former Black Stars captain Tony Baffoe as the assistance coach to Akwasi Appiah who is a very good friend of Kevin Prince Boateng. Another condition was that he will be bringing his own psychologist into the national team at a bill to be footed by the Ghana Football Association. Mr Yaw Boakye Djan has denial all this allegations stating that never in his conversation with Kevin Prince Boateng did any conditions mention above came up. Mr Yaw Boakye Djan is also related to Kevin Prince Boateng on his father’s side. Michael Essien organise the Game of Hope a charity football game on the 8th June 2013 at the Accra Sports stadium and prior to the game Michael Essien and his team paid a visit to the President John Mahama and on that occasion the President took the opportunity to appeal to Michael Essien to also return to the Black Stars. We are still waiting for the official news from Michael Essien as to when he will be coming back to the Black Stars. The question on the mind of football loving fans in Ghana is that, is it right for the President of Ghana His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to meet the Ayew brothers today and also be appealing to players to come back to the Black Stars whiles we have a youth and sports ministry as well as a football association. No player bigger than the Black Stars? Don’t we pay them fat bonus to play for the national team? Do they ever play on CREDIT for the Black Stars?
