Anfal in Arabic means the spoils and booty , including money and property , women and boys , has been practiced by the Arabs before Islam where the invasions of tribal are character prevailing in the Arabian Peninsula at the time, was the tribes invade each other, practiced murder , looting and the captivity of women , but they did not use the word Anfal in the conquests of those but They used the explicit meaning which is the spoils and booty . The Anfal operation which began what could call it the Battle of Halabja { because Saddam Hussein became the commander of the campaign of faith , and he considered himself a descendant of the family the Prophet Muhammad as fabricated to the same family tree forged attributed the proportion of unknown origin to the proportions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad { r } was for the elimination of the hopes and aspirations of the Kurdish people and the silencing of his voice and abort the revolution and the long struggle to gain their national rights and the legitimate desire to free and dignified life . But it came to Saddam and his regime regime to try to eliminate the Kurdish people through Jinoseid organized and programmed , and missed the diseased mind that people live that can not be eliminated or even conquer their will or to change its national identity الأنفال في اللغه العربيه تعني الغنائم والأسلاب وتشمل الأموال والممتلكات والنساء والفتيان، وقد مارسها العرب قبل الإسلام حيث كانت الغزوات القبلية هي الطابع السائد في الجزيرة العربية آنذاك، فكانت القبائل تغزوا بعضها، تمارس القتل والنهب وسبي النساء، لكنهم لم يستخدموا كلمة الأنفال في غزواتهم تلك بل إستخدموا معناها الصريح الذي هو الغنائم والأسلاب. أما عملية الأنفال التي إبتدأت بما يمكن أن نسميها غزوة حلبجة { نظرا لأن صدام حسين أصبح قائد الحملة الإيمانية وكان يعتبر نفسه سليل الأسرة النبوية الشريفة حيث إختلق لنفسه شجرة عائلة مزورة أرجع فيها نسبه المجهول أصلا الى نسب النبي الكريم محمد { ص } فقد كانت من أجل القضاء على آمال وطموحات الشعب الكوردي وإسكات صوته وإجهاض ثورته ونضاله الطويل من أجل نيل حقوقه القومية المشروعة ورغبته في الحياة الحرة الكريمة. بل وصل الأمر بصدام وأركان نظامه البائد الى محاولة القضاء على الشعب الكوردي من خلال عمليات جينوسايد منظمة ومبرمجة، وغاب عن أذهانهم المريضة بأن الشعوب الحية لايمكن القضاء عليها ولا حتى قهر إرادتها أو تغيير هويتها القومية،
