Angela Merkel has said that Vladimir Putin will not be invited to the G7 summit in Germany in June. According to Merkel, Russia has retreated from those values held by other member states of the G7 and, therefore, the presence of the Russian president is not desirable. Joining the Crimea and the events in the east of Ukraine are a clear violation of the principles of international law and serious violations of these common values, said Merkel. German Chancellor also predicted that imposed sanctions against Russia by Western countries will not be canceled in the spring, during the session of the European Commission, reports Reuters . In the spring we discuss how to deal with sanctions that we have decided to enter Russia after the annexation of the Crimea. Given the current situation, they will remain in force, said Merkel. Poor Angela; shes still fuming that NATO didnt get their hands on Sevastopol, the Black Sea Coast and Ukraines coal reserves ... As for President Putin - and the shameful way he was treated at the G20 in Australia - I doubt that he will upset by his omission ...
