Angie Appleton Little Sonya is my niece . This is a very short version of her story . Sonya graduated high school in May 1990 . She was,as most teenagers , full of life and always on the go ! Then Sept 1990 , she was coming home from a date. When the vehicle she was a passenger in left the road, throwing her through the sunroof . She was only a couple of miles from home ! THIS night changed her life forever ! She was paralyzed from chest down . When most people would have given up on life, Sonya chose to fight and make the best of it and be an inspiration to others in the same or similar situations. She spent months in the hospital ! Since that dreadful time , she has married , worked at her job like most everyone else does . She has still lived her life to the fullest , since her very unfortunate accident .
