Angle Step-Round House Kick: Angle step is a basic step in Yu Shin HapGi Mu Yae in which the practitioner angles out while maintaining close proximity in response to evading any thrust or strike. If too much space is allowed, your opponent will fill it. It is important to make sure your head is placed directly over lead foot and that they arrive at the same time in response to your opponents attack, i.e. proper timing. This is key in maintaining tactical control. Kicking in close proximity is a skill. Most think it cannot be done, but as we can see it can be done with devastating results. The kick demonstrated is a variation of round-house. Due to the initial angle less rotation is need.
