Angola 3 Memorial SecondLine for Herman Wallace Saturday October 4, steps off at 1 PM. Message from the organizers at Hermans House: Hermans One Year Memorial it is equally as somber as it is hard to believe that it has been 365 days since Herman Wallace has joined the ancestors. The emotions are consistent when you realize that means it has also been one MORE year that Albert Woodfox has unjustly been kept in solitary confinement by Louisiana officials. Hermans House is calling on supporters around the world to Remember Herman Wallace and Free Albert Woodfox on October 4th by changing their social media profile pictures to the attached image. Local New Orleans supporters can show their solidarity and plug into the memorial second line which will culminate at the 7th Ward Boys & Girls Garden, 1651 N Robertson, for refreshments, poetry, music & sculpture dedicated to the struggle of the Angola 3 . Please join Robert King, Jackie Sumell, Malik Rahim, Poets Mwende Katwiwa & A Scribe Called Quess, Sarah Quintana, members of the New Orleans City Council, and others as we celebrate the life and legacy of Herman Wallace, and strengthen the fight to bring justice to Albert Woodfox.
