Animal abuser who admitted to keeping 66 dogs caged in inhumane conditions only gets 10 days in jail and a large fine of $108,000. By my calculations, the court determined that each dogs suffering was only worth 6.6 of ONE DAY in jail and $1636.36. Does this sound like justice to you? At least the dogs were rescued and have all been adopted since then. That is the good news in this story. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ West Price Hill man pleads guilty to animal cruelty, gets 10 days in jail, $108,000 fine Aug 6, 2014 CINCINNATI -- A West Price Hill man pleaded guilty to animal cruelty Wednesday after police found dogs crated on top of each other in his home in February. Harold Alexander, 60, will spend 10 days in jail and was fined $108,000 after his plea in a Hamilton County court room. Police raided Alexanders home after receiving a complaint. Officers removed 66 dogs from his residence a the time. The dogs were found dirty with matted hair and injuries to their legs after being caged for long periods of time. Many of them were thin and pregnant at the time. By June, SPCA Cincinnati volunteers nursed 46 dogs and 26 puppies back to health and held an adoption event. Within hours hundreds of people showed up to the SPCA and all the dogs were adopted out to new families. wcpo/news/crime/west-price-hill-man-pleads-guilty-to-animal-cruelty-gets-10-days-in-jail-108000-fine
