Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption and pollution, is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry, and is a primary driver of rainforest destruction, species extinction, habitat loss, topsoil erosion, ocean “dead zones,” and virtually every other environmental ill. Yet it goes on, almost entirely unchallenged... A recent survey conducted by CHATHAM HOUSE - The Royal Institute for International Affairs, found that only 9% of people were willing to eat less meat to help fight climate change, which goes to show that our world is made up of 91% assholes, as one of our readers concluded. The time of blissful ignorance is over. Its high time to wake up!
