Ankle injuries are more common than should be. The recovery time for many is way too long and lingering. Donnie Thompson, an unbelievable performance therapist, is demonstrating on me a technique that can speed recovery from injury, help prevent injury AND increase your power. You need at least 70 Degrees of dorsi flexion to tap in to your full power capabilities. Stiff ankles can lead to hurt knees, weaker performance and slow you down. The ankle is a mobility joint, it needs to move freely. This technique requires a voodoo band or thera-band. It must be tight in order to compress the tissue. Leave it on about 7 minutes while mobilizing ankle as shown (video 2) or walking around moving ankle at every possible direction. Theres really not a right or wrong way, just be sure to follow the wrapping technique as shown.
