Anna hitting 55kg for 3 reps on a Front Squat. Shes well into the running season (her first race is in less than two weeks). The emphasis of her gym work is to maintain her strength and mobility while doing less volume than earlier in the year. The reason for doing less work is not to over tax her. As well as two sessions with me she had three to four running sessions, two of which are hard and long in duration. A reduction in training volume in the resistance sessions will allow for an increase in work elsewhere which will hopefully keep her injury free now we are coming to the important stuff - Racing!
