Anne Rice keeps going on and on about how many Bully book reviews there are and how they hurt authors. I wonder if shes aware of the opposite side of the coin. If you browse amazon there are many dummy reviews pushing up the status of this or that book that truly does not deserve it such as the praise of that horrible little book The man who wrote Frankenstein especially when you notice most of the reviews were posted roughly around the same time, written roughly the same way, and make the same glaring mistakes that the author himself made about the content (i.e. mistaking quotes from Miltons Paradise Lost as being original dialogue by Percy Shelley). Yes, there are people who bash books that dont deserve it but at the same time there are plenty of misleading positive reviews too.
