Annie Leibovitz inspired edgy one light set-up with a hand painted backdrop. To create my vision of an edgy portrait, I decided to use my garage with grungy grey concrete floor as an ideal setting. Plenty of hours researching ideal paint, binder and painting technique, I finally hand painted a 3m x 2.4m canvas backdrop over a weekend. Spent another weekend looking for the perfect industrial stool to use as a prop. And what better subject to shoot than my mates hanging out in my garage with Monopoly for play & Whisky to indulge !!
