Anniston police investigating Friday shooting death Anniston police are investigating after a man was killed and his son was injured by gunshots on the front porch of an Anniston home Friday evening. Capt. Allen George of the Anniston Police Department said Randall Dale Gaddy, 42, of Anniston was found dead at the scene from a gunshot wound around 8 p.m. Friday. Gaddy was found on the front porch of a house on the 200 block of South Wilmer Avenue. His son, Randall Skyler Gaddy, 19, of Anniston, was found at the scene with a gunshot wound in his hand, George said. The son was treated at Regional Medical Center and released, George said. George said homeowner Larry Johnson, 58, shot both Gaddys. No charges have been filed in the case, George said. George said police arrived at the scene after receiving a call about gunshots at the residence. George said the incident allegedly began after Randall Dale Gaddy — who apparently lived in the house next door, the captain said — and the homeowner got into an argument. At some point, Johnson went inside his house and locked the door, George said. Our preliminary investigation indicates that Gaddy then had taken a cinder block and smashed in some windows, George said. The homeowner then fired two or three rounds through the front door. Gaddy’s body will be sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Huntsville for an autopsy
