Announcement on Enervon Activ 226 Cancellation: We regret to inform that the race scheduled on December 6, 2014 at The Bellevue Resort in Panglao, Bohol has been canceled due to the predicted impact of Typhoon Ruby. This was a joint decision taken with sponsors Enervon Activ, The Bellevue Resort and the Province of Bohol. Based on reports sourced from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC): 18 areas have been placed under storm signals Thursday afternoon as Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit) intensified and continued to move toward Eastern Visayas. State weather agency PAGASA said that as of 4 pm this afternoon, December 4, Thursday, Typhoon Ruby was estimated at 720km East of Surigao City with maximum winds of 205 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240kph. PAGASA said Ruby is expected to move west-northwest at 15 kph and is believed to be 360 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, on December 5, Friday afternoon. 9 areas were placed under storm signal No. 1, including Bohol, where the event will be situated this weekend. There are possibilities of flashfloods, landslides, and storm surges. Given these significant developments, the race will be cancelled. The safety of our participants and guests is top priority. We acknowledge that this is a difficult situation for everyone involved in this event. We appreciate all the hard work that all the athletes and supporters have made to attend this race. All registered athletes will still receive their race kits. Participants who are already in Bohol may start claiming their race kits at The Bellevue Resort, Bohol starting 10am. Welcome dinner will push thru as planned at The Bellevue Resort tomorrow at 6pm. All unclaimed kits will be sent directly to the participants via courier. We join the whole nation in praying for the safety of our fellow Filipinos who will be affected by the typhoon. For further questions, you may get in-touch with us at registration@bikekingphilippines. Thank you. Raul Cuevas President, Bikeking
