Announcements, Tuesday, September 25, 2013 Good morning Raiders! Today is Tuesday, September 25, 2013. It is time to say our pledge: I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Honor the Texas flag: I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible. Now for a moment of silence. From the principal: Students, today I want to see at all times: respecting boundaries; using satin words, being an active listener, recognizing your friends are gifts—care and share, and our last expectation of helping others. We are all family and family members help each other. Today as I am in classrooms, I will be looking for all of these expectations. This week we have some exciting dress up days. Today our teachers will be wearing their college shirts or jerseys. Also, your student council has voted to have a special day Thursday. It will be “dress up as your favorite movie character” day—be thinking about who you can dress up as! Also our attendance contest submission will be the end of this month, who will win???? I am anxious to see who will be drafted to our NBA team! Way to go to some cafeteria helpers who volunteered their time Friday—Chris, Braylen, and David. Thank you! Also, great job to Bryson—he made a text to self connection in Ms. Waller’s class about the firehouse in their shared reading story. For lunch we will have beef and noodles. Raiders remember, at West Rusk Elementary we believe: Tradition+Pride+Hard Work=Success!
