Announcements for Monday, May 12th: Any upcoming sophomore, junior, or senior who wishes to run for Student Council officer should pick up a petition from Mrs. Rawls in room 310. Petitions will be due by Wednesday, May 14th at 3:00 pm. Also, any freshman wishing to run for sophomore class officer should pick up a petition from Mrs. Rawls in room 310. Those will be due by Wednesday as well. 7th and 8th grade students may wear spirit shirts tomorrow. 7th and 8th grade only!! There will be percussion practice today from 3:15 to 4 in the band room. Please attend if you can to be ready for auditions on Thursday May 15. All library books are due NOW!!! Mrs. Hill will begin calling and informing parents of overdue books. JV & Varsity Boys (current grades 8-11) will have basketball tryouts on Monday May 19 - Wednesday May 21 from 3:15-5:00. All those wanting to try out must have a current physical. There is a sign up sheet on Coach Shadys door, Room 418. Basketball tryouts will be held May 12th and 13th for upcoming 9th-12th graders. Tryouts will take place in the Satsuma High School Main Gym 3:00-5:00 PM. Please see Coach Shady or Coach Walker if you have any questions. Extra yearbooks are now on sale. The cost is $80.00. Books will be sold on a first-come, first serve basis. Buy yours now as books are limited. Yearbook is selling a supplemental disk of events that was not included in the yearbook, such as, prom, graduation,etc. for $15.00. Balfour will be set up in the lobby of SHS on Monday, May 12th from 5-7 PM to take class ring orders.
