Announcements for Wed, Nov. 13th: Tennis tryouts will begin next Tuesday immediately after school. All students 7th through 12th grade are eligible to tryout. See Coach Rawls to sign up if you havent already done so. SOCCER GIRLS ARE REMINDED TO HAVE THEIR PAPERWORK TURNED IN TO MAJOR HOLT PRIOR TO MONDAY, 18 NOV. GIRLS SOCCER EVALUATIONS WILL BE HELD MONDAY, 18 NOVEMBER THROUGH 22 NOVEMBER. Miss Satsuma tickets are being sold during both breaks. Tickets are $8 a piece. Please make sure you go ahead and get your tickets because the pageant sells out every year. Satsuma students that would like to participate in the flu immunization must turn their form in by this Friday. Students need to turn in box tops to their 1st period teacher by Nov. 22. The class with the most will receive an ice cream party. November is a time for giving thanks for all that we have; it is also a time of year that we can share our blessings with those around us. During the month of November, we will be holding a canned food drive to help the food pantries in our area. This will also be a competition between the classes to see which grade level is the most generous. There will be boxes set up in the front lobby through Friday, November 22. Make sure you put your canned goods and nonperishable food items in the boxes labeled for your grade. The winner will be announced on Friday, November 22. The softball team is selling slabs of ribs for $20. You can contact Coach Culbreth or any of the girls to order a slab! The next administration of the ACT is December 14th. The deadline to pay with a late fee is November 22nd. Juniors interested in ordering a class shirt should see Ms. Sealy, Ms. Salter or a junior class officer for an order form. Make checks payable to Satsuma High School. The last day to purchase a 2014 yearbook is Thursday, Nov. 21. No extras yearbooks are being purchased. The last day for seniors to turn in their Senior Ad money is Friday, Dec. 6. The money must be turned in to secure your place in the yearbook. The graphic of your Senior page may be turned in by Jan. 15. There will be a student faculty volleyball game today @ 2:00. There will be a brief meeting this Wednesday for the Spanish Club and the Cultural Diversity Club members immediately after school in Senora Turners room #405. Order your doughnuts now; from any Spanish Club or Cultural Diversity Club member. $7 a box to be delivered on Wednesday, November 20th.
