Annual Meeting and Board Elections Thank you to all that came out last night for the LS Annual Meeting. We had a good group of folks and it was nice to meet some of our new neighbors. I would also like to thank the outgoing Board members for their service to the community - Tony Darnell, Neal Gogol, Marian Stelling and Nikki Van Wingerden. When you get seven people in a room, you will inevitably get many different perspectives and I want you to know that I always valued your opinions. For those of you in attendance last evening, you were not only provided a summary of the Board activities this past year but also were able to hear from leaders on two important projects in our community: Peachtree Parkway Improvement District (PPID) and Sharon Springs Alliance (aka New City). I believe that all in attendance enjoyed their presentations and some were interested enough to spend another hour following the meeting speaking with them. We have attached a flier detailing PPID to the Laurel Springs Website and you can keep up with Sharon Springs Alliance by visiting: sharonspringsga.org/ At the end of the evening, we tallied the votes for the four open Board positions, held the first organizational meeting of the new Board, and spent some time with District 2 Commissioner Brian Tam who was gracious enough to stop by to discuss some pending community issues with us. Your 2014-2015 Laurel Springs HOA Board is: President - Jerry Edel (Tennis Chair) Vice President and Treasurer - Kerry Sebree Secretary - Mary Anne Payne (Communications) ARC and Grounds - Craig Belsole Security - Joe DeMarco Community Affairs - Tom Page Pool and Clubhouse - Liz Sills Please join me in welcoming both new and returning Board members. This Board has a collective 13 years of LS Board experience as we enter this session. Our community is aging and our area is growing so there is much to do to continue maintaining and growing our home values. I believe we have the right folks in place to be successful. Sincerely, Tom Page (former) President - LS HOA Board
