Hey student council! State convention money is due THIS THURSDAY OCTOBER 3! ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Only 2 people have paid to go! Tickets for the homecoming dance, “Heroes of the Night” will be on sale starting next week in Mrs. Sykes’ office during passing periods and lunches. Tickets are $10.00 presale and $15.00 at the door per person. The dance is Saturday October 12 from 7-10 here at Edison in the junior high gym. Come dance the night away making great memories with our Edison heroes! The Doctor Who fan club will meet this Thursday after school in room 220 from 3:00 – 5:00. This week’s showing is in honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary special and featuring multiple Doctors. We will be watching the first multi-Doctor story The Three Doctors. It is in color for those of you who are not excited about Black and white episodes! So join us for a little fun with the first three Doctors; everyone is invited – jr high and high school. The 2014 edition of the yearbook is going on sale beginning tomorrow. It can be ordered through Mr. Pagán in room 220, Mrs. Sykes in the office, or online at the link on the Edison website. The cost is $47. Anyone who participated in the Butter Braid fundraiser and wishes to order a copy with a discounted price needs to see Mr. Pagán directly for ordering. Donkey Ball is back! The craziest basketball game you’ve ever seen! That’s right! Donkey Ball will be here at Edison High School on Saturday, October 26th, in the high school gym. Tickets go on sale Wednesday in the book keeper’s office. The cost is $6.00 in advance and $8.00 at the door. Kids age 6 and under can attend for FREE!!! There will be concessions, donkey rides for elementary age kids at intermission, and a chance to win a set of Walt Disney World hopper passes!!! Doors will open at 5:15 and game time is 6:00. Money raised at this event will go towards yearbook production costs. Raffle tickets for the Walt Disney tickets will go on sale next week. Anybody boy’s in all sports that are planning on playing high school basketball this year….There is a mandatory callout meeting right after school on Thursday, Oct. 3. You must be in attendance! There will be a college representative visit on Oct 15th from Purdue North Central and on Oct. 18th from St. Joseph University during homeroom. Any 11th and 12th graders interested in attending these college visits need to sign up in guidance department.
