Anon: Please help! My 8 month old little girl has been unwell, crying, screaming, arching her back and been very fatigued, but not sleeping well, for 5 days now. She had a bit of a fever the first day but hasnt since. Weve been to two different doctors and spent a night at the childrens hospital, but nobody can find anything wrong with her. The only other piece of the puzzle is that she hasnt had a very good poo in what is coming close to 2 weeks! She had only a couple of hard little pellets mid last week, and since then has had an oral liquid and suppository at the hospital two nights ago to try and help things along, but neither worked. We have then given her Coloxyl drops yesterday and this morning she had another hard poo, nothing like the softer stools she normally has. She is not showing other signs of constipation like lifting legs, grunting or pushing, and doctors cant feel any real blockage when feeling her stomach, but we (and the doctors) can only guess that it must be the lack of soft poo that is causing her to be so upset! She is breastfed and started solids (BLW) at 6 months. Wed love any advice from anyone who might have been in similar positions! Obviously natural methods would be preferred, but happy to hear anything at this point to try and help her! Thanks!!
