Anon asks Been getting mixed feedback on feeding solids and would like some information from TNPM and other experienced mommas. My boy is 8mths old, BF and started puree since 6mths. He seems to enjoy foods in very small amounts but is eager to try everything. I offer him food in the morning and night, more recently at lunch time too. Sometimes he will happily eat a portion and sometimes rather just stick with BF. I am confused because Ive been told that he should be getting ready to eat big people food at this stage and shouldnt be feeding him more substantial things than puree fruits and vegs. I did some research and some websites give a run down of how much nutrition a 8mth old should be getting and from what kinds of foods. I was shocked because its like 1.5 to 2.5 cups of food a day and this is WAY much more than my boy eats. Some days he just not interested in food at all. He is a big solid boy and obviously getting enough nutrition from his BF, but at what point should I be making sure he eats solids as well? Thanks in advance, from a first time momma 😊
