Anon asks Hello mamas, Im not sure what I am seeking. But Im feeling quite sad. And maybe Im just venting. I got back to work on Sunday after staying full time with my baby for her first 6 months. Right now my mom is taking care of her and while I am working, they are both alone. My mom takes good care of her, but she is old and doesnt know much about how to engage her in play and developmental activities. I have noticed that my baby looks bored, sad and withdrawn. She is normally very active, but until sometime after I come home, she stays very silent and does not show her excitement. My husband works faraway and she sees her daddy once a week. We currently have no other choice. His family lives right above our apartment but unless one of us take our baby there, they do not willingly come and spend time with her or even visit her. I am so hurt by that.I spent the 6 months either with my husband or my family and my LO is used to so much love and attention all the time. Suddenly its gone. So after coming home from work, I talk, play and give all my attention to my girl. I take her out for walks too. I know shell adjust in time but thats not all that I want. Can you mamas suggest me what I could do to make my baby feel that she is very much loved by her mummy and daddy? Can you please suggest what her daddy (whenever he comes) and me could do together and seperately to show our love and care? Sorry for the long story, and I am seeking supportive comments. TIA
