Anon asks Hi, Im currently breast feeding my 3 week old and struggling. We use a shield as we had trouble latching and he still has no idea how to. Im struggling with the shield because every time we go out I make a bottle of formula cuz Im too embarrassed to pull the shield out n try stick him on etc. my milk supply is basic as Ive tried expressing to take that out instead of formula and Im lucky to get 30 to 40ml. Please tell me theres hope in weaning him off the shield? My nipples are on the flatter side. Every time I try n put him on directly he just screams in frustration. 😞
