Anon asks Hi, my DD is 20mths and has been super clingy the past 3weeks. I love holding and comforting her & do my best to be there for her all the time but it is to the point where I cant do a thing (not wipe a bench, get things organised for the day - all whilst in her view) without her screaming until I pick her up. I have tried explaining things to her - she screams louder, I have tried ignoring her screaming and she will become hysterical and come running behind me holding on to any part of my body/clothing she can. I am 27wks pregnant so carrying her all the time is becoming exhausting. To avoid hearing the screaming I have just had her attached to me non stop. She is cutting her eye teeth which is taking forever!! I know they are painful for her. Has anyone experienced this? How have you managed? Would this behaviour be due to her teeth or is it age appropriate? What have you found to be the best way to encourage your LO to play while you do the necessities. I try to get her to help but unless Im holding her she wont have a bar of it. TIA and apologies for the many questions xx
