Anonymous Confession #37- When I was dating my ex boyfriend, his mum asked me what I wanted to do after school and when I told her she responded with You cant get an ATAR over 90 with a boyfriend! and I was just so bluntly surprised that she could think that it wasnt possible. During year 11 I broke up with this boy as he wanted to focus on school because he needed to improve his grades, and hence I was a distraction to his study pattern (turned out he was cheating on me). I ended up getting early entry to the UNI that was my first preference so I wasnt totally fussed on my ATAR, so I didnt really study for the HSC (and I had a boyfriend throughout the whole thing). I ended up with an ATAR of 89.25. After our results got released I bumped into my ex-boyfriends Mother while she was doing her shopping and I asked her how my ex went. She said 52 and I was like Oh Congratulations - waiting for her to ask me how I went - and of course, she did. I said my mark and her face was PRICELESS! She said Oh congratulations! You did that with a boyfriend?! And I was like Yeah, and I got early entry so my marks didnt really bother me that much anyway and she was even more shocked. Theres not much to this story except for that I proved this lady wrong and Im so happy that I can shove my ATAR in her face and say SUCK SHIT! (And also lol to my ex for wanting to focus on school and using it as an excuse to hide the fact that he was cheating on me, it really turned out well for you, didnt it? :) )
