Anonymous Question: Anyone have any ideas to help when typing. I work in a call center and have an ergonomic keyboard which is great for my wrist but find my fingers hurt as if the keys are too hard for me. HMSA answer: Have you had an assessment by Access to Work https://gov.uk/access-to-work/overview? They can do an assessment of your work area and may be able to suggest some thing that could help you. For example there are many different types of keyboard and there may be one which works for you. Depending on what is causing the pain, other things to consider include a graphics tablet which you can write on with a chunky pen, oval 8 style ring splints to help stop bendy-backwards finger joints) or voice activated software (so you talk to your computer rather than type) - but I realise this might not work in a call centre! Hopefully other people with hypermobility can also post things that have helped them
