Anonymous mum asks for birthing advice & support : Hi everyone, I am 29 weeks with di/di twins and recently really accepted my likelihood of having a Ceaser. I was at the OB and she abruptly told me in a rush that if twin 1 doesnt flip ill need a Ceaser. Twin 2 is head down so I thought id be good to go, but I naively had no idea twin 1 was named twin 1 as it is the presenting twin closest to my cervix. I was crushed to hear the news as I have been so hopeful of a natural birth. I know twin 1 still has time to flip but realistically I know my chances of a Ceaser are higher than not. I spent a few days moping feeling like a crappy mother who cant even bring her babies into the world without doctors pulling them out of me, and like my opportunity to be actively involved in the birth of my babies has been taken away. But I am somewhat accepting of it now, and have changed my perspective to see the Ceaser as the norm and if I can have a go at natural delivery that will be a HUGE bonus for us id love to hear of similar stories, of mothers who had a hard time accepting similar news, and how your birth actually turned out, and also would love to hear some tips on how to get as actively involved as possible in the birth of my children when having a Ceaser.
