Anonymous question For those who had twins as their first children and then went on to have another child/ren, how did you make the decision re having more versus not having more? If you did decide to have more, what was the age gap? I have 16 month old twin boys who I adore. We are thinking about whether we will try for more kids. My husband is keen and Id love a little girl (or boy) but to be honest, I am petrified of having twins again. We live overseas so have no family support and I really struggled in the early days with my twins. I was basically housebound for the first 4 months - too scared to get out of the house by myself with the babies because they would scream and cry all the time. I breastfed them and did the nights on my own. I got 1-3 hours sleep a night if I was lucky. I was exhausted and miserable a lot in the early days. We ended up getting a night nurse to come help me one or two nights a week but even then I still had to wake and pump so it didnt give me that much more sleep. I think Id like to have another baby when the boys are a bit older but I guess Im worried re how I will cope if we do have twins again. I know this is a very personal decision but just wanted to hear about how others went about making this decision to give me some food for thought. Thanks
