AnonymousOct 24, 2011In magistrate court on October 24th, Judge Thomas refused to swear out warrants on a woman who openly admitted to assaulting two other women (a nurse and a schoolteacher) on Thursday, October 20th. His reasoning was that because the three women were arguing, that the victims provoked their attacker and they would go to jail as well. Not only did the attacker admit to the assault, it was also captured on video and witnessed by several people. The judge was not interested in the video (which showed that neither victim provoked their attacker) nor was he interested to speaking to any witnesses (myself included). The attacker blatantly taunted her victims and laughed at them in front of the judge with no reprimand, while the victims were shushed and threatened with jail time if they dared to defend themselves against their attacker (who made multiple false accusations). One of the victims was so distraught by judge Thomass blatant disregard that she left his office both in tears and in fear for her life, as her attacker faces no retribution if she is assaulted again. Is this not a grave miscarriage of justice?
