Another 177 tomatoes picked the other evening. We are at 927 or so, give or take a few. We should be hitting our first thousand this weekend. (even with a background in mathematics and a career in writing action-oriented horror books with all sorts of mass murders planned and such), it is difficult to believe that we are getting ONE THOUSAND tomatoes from plants we raised in our back yard. And that we expect another thousand or more!!! Can such real-life miracles be? As I asked, in all seriousness, once before in this column, are these tomatoes Gods message to me (and I mean directly to me) to keep hanging on through kidney dialysis, diabetic neuropathy, sleep apnea, and so much more? That the world is filled with incredible stuff and I still have life in me to discover it. I truly think so. I truly do. Hurray for tomatoes!!!
