Another Black Friday is upon us. An endless parade of deals and savings is being touted on every media source in an effort to lure us into buying stuff. Millions of Americans will flock to stores later tonight and tomorrow with an aggressiveness unlike any other day of the year. But for what? What is it that we all REALLY need so bad? When we get into the space of lack, there is no amount of clothes, electronics or home furnishings that will fill the void inside. Outside stuff is only that; outside stuff. It will never fulfill us on a deeper level. Im not saying we shouldnt buy things. Im simply suggesting a little mindfulness in our consumer experience. Dont believe the hype: buying new stuff will never bring true happiness! That only comes from higher actions. Practicing generosity, kindness and gratitude are what will bring us real harmony and real peace.
