Another Bobby Statue... Nope. Not in Tally… Was visiting the Cumberland School of Law library (on the Samford University campus in Birmingham) and decided to go check out the field where Bobby and Jimbo both coached and Jimbo played (When Bobby played for Samford it was still called Howard College and the campus was on the other side of town). Looky what they got as you enter the stadium! Pretty sweet. Check out his belt..FSU on one side SEMINOLES on the back. The plaque says: This statue is presented to Samford University, formerly known as Howard College, in honor of Robert Cleckler Bobby Bowden, a 1953 graduate of Samford, by friends, classmates, former players, colleagues and admirers for his stellar career as a college football player and coach.
