Over the 40 years of EU membership, despite opening its markets up to the EU & for all the hundreds of Billions given and obligations incurred, for all the treaties negotiated, and for all the immense amounts of time, sacrifices and anguish the British people have made, The proportion of EU trade is now less than when Britain joined the European Economic Community in 1973. The United Kingdom gets no advantage whatsoever of being in the single market. Incomes in the UK rose an average of just €10 a year the lowest in the EU. EU benefits Average annual gain in real GDP per capita from 1992 to 2012 €500 Denmark €450 Germany €280 Austria €220 Finland €180 Belgium €180 Sweden €130 Netherlands €110 Ireland €110 France €80 Italy €70 Spain €70 Greece €20 Portugal €10 United Kingdom Britain simply doesnt need Europe & that is becoming clearer everyday to the people of Britain. Trade was supposed to be one of the big advantages of EU membership but this shows its yet another in a long line of deceptions. Britain needs to leave the EU & the huge expense that goes with it.
