Another Mailer... ATTACK ALERT! Mass Fiscal Flyer #2 I did NOT vote against veterans, as the Mass Fiscal Republican partisan super pac group alleges in two flyers sent out to individuals recently. It is important to keep all amendments relevant to the bill. Accordingly, in Roll Call #241 (10/30/13), I voted that an amendment on illegal immigrant housing has nothing to do with veterans and was out of scope of the bill. Housing agencies, will tell you that veterans already have precedence over virtually anyone applying for public housing, as they should.People must have some income to even be considered, so if someone is an illegal alien, would that person be able to document their income, show birth certificates & Social Security cards, and all the other stuff needed to complete an application for housing, in the first place? No. I am a fierce champion for veterans, veterans benefits and services. It is disrespectful to our democracy the inaccurate information being mailed to voters across this district and this state.
