Another SDCC has come and gone. As I sit here on my couch, happy to be home, Im reflecting a bit on the past week. It was hectic, and feels like a blur because it happened so fast. But its always a unique experience that really cant be had anywhere else. I want to give massive thanks to my wonderful wife Christina Eardley. This was her first trip away from our son, and it was really hard for her. But as in past years, she was a real trooper. She followed me around for four days straight with a video camera in hand, helped me film interviews, as well as helped me cart around equipment. I mean this 100% when I say it, I COULD NOT do this without her. There wouldnt be any Pixel Dan coverage or walkthroughs without Stina. Shes a total blessing. Once again I feel like I didnt get nearly enough done as I wanted to. I still have some footage to edit and post this coming week. But there is always more I could have done, and not enough time to get it all done. It also doesnt help matters that I lost some time to getting sick this year. Even still, there were plenty of good times had. More than anything, I wish I could have spent MORE time with my fellow geek brothers and sisters who I only get to see once or twice a year. Nonetheless, Im thankful for the little bit of time I did get with you all: Val Staples, Jon Kallis, Danielle S. Oliveira Gelehrter, James Eatock, Ricky Lyle Campbell, Brian T. Stevenson, Matt Stein, Jeremy Sung, Brian Charles Rooney, George Gaspar, Ayleen Gaspar, Sean Long, Shartimus Prime, Jay Cochran, Pat Contri, and many others, including those whom I met for the first time this year and all of generous folks who told me they were fans of my work. Even though its stressful and hard to keep up with everything, I AM thankful that I have this opportunity. And before I know it, a year will pass and Ill be right back there doing it all again. But for now, Im going to love on my baby boy. God, I missed him. :-)
