Another Tequila has landed in Chandelier Bar, this ones from the Tequila Herradura family! Herradura Cognac Cask Finish Reposado Tequila Herradura has advanced its foray into experimental Tequila aging with the release of a Cognac cask finish Reposado. Crafted by master distiller Maria Teresa Lara, the Tequila is matured twice, first in American oak barrels for 11 months and then again in French oak casks sourced from the Cognac region for an additional three months. “The barrel is a key ingredient in the final ageing process of the Tequila and through cask-finishing our Tequila in two different types of woods, we are able to add a new layer of flavour and aroma to create a superb, multi-dimensional Tequila,” said master distiller Lara. The Cognac Cask Finish Reposado is described as having “earthy and spicy notes” with “caramel and vanilla undertones”. Pop in for a taste and let us know what you think!
