Another Victory for the Name of the Lord! The doctor came to the bedside this morning and told me in a very calm way that the scan report shows that the perforated bowel has healed! I don’t know how important this information was to this good doctor, but to us, it is a victory for our merciful Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ! We want His Name to be honored among men in the midst of a world which does not believe. This compassionate act means that God still cares for us and hears our prayers! So thank you all for praying for my healing, and please continue as we realize this doesn’t mean an end to the cancer, but an encouraging score in the Lord’s favor! The doctor said they might even let me progress to solid foods later today, which is also encouraging. For this morning, the breakfast of chicken broth, lemon jello, grape and cranberry juice really hit the spot. Thank you, Lord, for good food! I got a roommate last night, which is a first for me this year. Last time I was in two months ago, I was supposed to have one but they never came. This time I have had this room to myself and my company up until last night. God gave me a good one, Otis, who is not in very good shape with his prostate cancer but sure has a pleasant disposition. I won’t describe his condition but will just say that he is yet another person I would not want to trade places with. I like Otis. It is a wicked world we live in, full of sin and darkness. The Lord told us it would be this way. The victory is to be able to live in, but not be of, this place while we await our redemption at the Last Great Day. I hope you will all be sure to be ready to meet the Lord: The inevitable appointment will be here before you know it. Thank you all again for your kindnesses and love to me. Special thanks to my much better half and the splendid children she gave me who have all been a great source of joy and comfort in my time of need.
