Another Wild Wednesday at Pelican Preserve in the books. Bob Cox, - TopicsExpress

Another Wild Wednesday at Pelican Preserve in the books. Bob Cox, our own Pelican Preserve DJ, was on the stage and did his usual great job. He interacts with the crowd in an outstanding way. 50s, 60s and 70s music is his forte. There were 122 Pelicans in attendance. The event was outdoors and the temperature at the start was 82 degrees and humid. The menu of the day was Caribbean buffet. Deb liked the wings the best and John liked the Caribbean beef taco. Food was OK. We did see a number of the snow-birders back and in attendance. Rumor is that many are returning to SW Florida early this year. Hail, hail the gangs all here --- almost all of our Pelican group were in attendance. We missed Barry who is in the DC area for a day or so. It was good to see B and B from Albany, New York. Mr. B. in in healing mode. The girls enjoyed a Mermaid dance for their secret club. It was good to see Steve and Diane in full dance mode. They are from CT. JFW missed two weeks due to minor back issue and vacation in Vegas. It was good to be back. With the heat I think I lost about 9 ounces tonight. Look-a-likes: Major Winchester (MASH), Wilfred Brimley, Peter Pan and Mike Ditka were in attendance. A good time was had by all. The compound is SECURE. Were out.
