Another YakAttack tournament in the books and it was a huge success. Thanks so much to everyone who came out and participated and gave so generously. We have some final numbers to crunch but it looks like we will be sending more than $10K to Heroes on the Water and Project Healing Waters. There are more people to thank than I can mention but Vicky, Tina Shank, Janice Benfield Cifers, Sundari Cifers, Tehya Cifers, Wayne Tu, Jerry Long, Chris Poe, Michael Guyer, Jim Dolan, Sally Dolan, Wayne Bradby, Ashley Giles, Ray Montes, Lori Britton Detwiler, Tracey Detwiler, and a number of other people came together to make this not only a successful fundraiser but a truly memorable event. Thanks Chuck Wrenn for once again making sure Miss Piggy got there in time for the 18 hour cook. Thanks also to Twin Lakes State Park for allowing us to use their conference center. The facility was PERFECT for this event and since they donated the weekend that money is going right to where it can do some good. A huge thanks to Appomattox River Company for donating a Ride 135, to Jackson Kayak for donating a Cuda 12, and to Bass Pro Shops - Richmond, VA for donating an Ascend FS kayak. Also to PowerTeam Lures for providing prizes, samples, and for sponsoring the Big Bass Challenge. There are too many sponsors to list them all in this post but thanks so much to all of you. What we accomplished is something we can be proud of but what we raised is only a small payment on a massive debt of service we owe those who have served us so faithfully in the military and in combat. Weve been thanked by so many people in the last few days but what we did out there is but a small thank you to all of the anglers on the water that choose YakAttack for rigging their kayaks and make it possible for us to fulfill a dream of building a business and creating manufacturing jobs. THANK YOU for making that possible.
