Another amazing testimony from another amazing client! Thanks Susan! An acquaintance recently mentioned that Pilates was easy, and something for people who liked a nice stretching workout and didnt like to sweat. Let me just say that my first Pilates session left me with shaky muscles and a bit of a wobbly stance. Wow. I could never have completed that first session with anything less than sheer determination. It was a challenge both physically and mentally. Trying to find the appropriate core muscles and attempting to initiate movement from them (after pretty much ignoring them for most of my life), was nearly impossible. Now that Ive been practicing for almost 2 years at Core Pilate & Barre, I can not only instinctively locate these muscles, but I can work them to a threshold point -- multi-tasking all along the way. With multiple muscles firing and concentration at its peak, I never leave a Pilates session less than fully and thoroughly worked out. Stretching? Sure, theres some of that involved in Pilates. But thats not what keeps me coming back week after week, month after month. Its my stronger, leaner muscles that help me in so many aspects of everyday life. Its the feeling of openness and total balance when I walk out the studio door. Its the improved flexibility that impacts the way I move around my world each day. Its vastly diminished pain from arthritis that would otherwise be with me every minute of every day. Thank you Kim, Coleen and the team at Core for changing my life with this practice!
