Another appeal; North Yorkshire Police : Malton police are asking a man to come forward following a suspicious incident near the town. It occurred between 1.45pm and 2.20pm on Monday 4 November 2013, when a 15-year-old girl was walking her dog on Low Lane, Swinton, away from the village towards the river. She noticed a man behind her who seemed to match her pace when she walked faster or slowed down. However, he did not approach the girl or speak to her. The man is described as white, around 40 to 50 years old and with a broad build. He was wearing a dark fleece jacket and dark coloured trousers, which may have been tracksuit bottoms. PC Paul Fenwick, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: I am appealing to anyone who was in the Low Lane area at the time and may have seen the man to come forward and contact the police straight away. It may be that the man was in the area for a wholly innocent reason and I ask that he gets in touch as soon as possible so that I can establish the circumstances surroundings the incident. Anyone who can help to identify the man is asked to contact Malton police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Paul Fenwick. Alternatively, information can be emailed to [email protected]. Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting reference number 12130193110. (3)
